Happy New Year

Well my Christmas came and went in a flurry of activity! We had eight people for Christmas Day and to stay overnight, which took some planning especially since there is a snorer amongst us and also I had to work early on Boxing day! Trust me, retail is not my best friend at this precise moment, so next time you bag a bargain bright and early on Boxing day, please spare a thought for the poor staff that have lost the Christmas lottery and cut their Christmas short to make that happen! Add to that trains that aren’t running and road works that cause mayhem on the buses you can get the picture. Thank goodness for sister in laws that are apparrently sent from heaven – Thanks Judy your’e a star!

Apart from that I had a great time! I got thoroughly spoilt and got the fit bit I wanted, a Mac lipstick in a truly wonderful colour, another wine tasting to look forward to, the best sealion slippers known to man and enough chocolate and biscuits to sink a battleship.

Today however, its time to take down the decorations, go mad with the hoover and finally get those resolutions down on paper. I love this time of year, it’s so full of promise and hope. When your whole year stretches out in front of you and its time to get jiggy with it and make those changes. If you’re anything like me, you can’t wait to clear the decks and start again!

I don’t know if its an age thing but I just have to clear the clutter, get fitter and have a year where I feel in control of my time again. The last minute flexible approach just wont cut it anymore and I am determined to make some drastic changes to the way I do things in order to achieve what I want. I’ve realised there are certain things, I could never be without, like time with family and friends and especially time with the ‘Growded ups’. Who knows when they will eventually fly the nest and I just want to be ready to wave them off knowing I’ve really enjoyed getting to know the adults they’ve become and encouraged them to do what’s right for them. I hope they have a year that see’s them break through barriers and go get the life they both deserve. As for me I have a whole lot of Coaching to do, its what I do best and I am determined to do even more in 2016.

So Happy New Year to you all, may 2016 be your best year yet

Stay Sassy
